RONDA RUNNELS – ARTISTIC DIRECTOR
Ronda is the Artistic Director of Trilogy Dance Center.
She began her dance training in San Antonio and went on to pursue a dance degree at the University of Texas in Austin. There she danced with Third Coast Jazz Company and choreographed for numerous dance companies. She has studied dance in California and New York with the best teachers in the industry. Returning to San Antonio, Ronda was the first artist of her kind to implement an outreach dance program to inner city schools. In 1994 she created Visions Dance Troupe, a semi-professional youth company, which received national choreography awards and inspired dancers to pursue dance degrees or professional careers in the dance arena. In 1995 she opened The Turning Point Dance Center. After 12 years of success in training dancers in ballet, jazz, modern, and tap she moved on to create Move & Groove Innovative Dance Program. Ms. Runnels founded Trilogy’s pre-professional dance company, Insight Dance Ensemble and is the Artistic Director of San Antonio Jazz Ensemble, the river cities only non-profit professional jazz dance company. Over the last 18 years Ronda has produced and choreographed original works that have received numerous awards in the field of jazz and contemporary dance. Her unique blend of jazz and modern makes her style of choreography powerful and intriguing on both young dancers and professional artists.
Her track record for training dancers is the best around. Dedicated dancers under Ronda’s curriculum have gone on to the best dance schools in the nation or on to be professionals in the entertainment industry. Her past students have been seen on national and international commercials, television shows, touring concerts, theme parks, cruise ships or have become instructors at top notch schools and universities across the nation.
Ronda is the program director at Trilogy Dance Center where she directs the youth dance company Insight Dance Ensemble, and is the artistic director of San Antonio Jazz Ensemble (SAJE). She currently is co-choreographer and an advocate for the End Fat Talk Campaign flash mob events.
PAIGE BERRY- CEO-Trilogy Dance Center
Ms.Berry has been studying the performing arts and landing time on stage since she was 5 years old. Her experience began in musical theater, as well as competing in dance competitions across the state. At the age of 17, she started her professional career as a dancer and began training as an instructor. She has instructed beginner to advanced dancers in ballet, tap, hip hop, modern and jazz while living in Los Angeles, California. Ms. Berry eventually made her way back to San Antonio and opened Trilogy in 2009. She has received national awards for her original works and continues to now choreograph exclusively for Trilogy’s pre-professional company, Insight Dance Ensemble. Berry can be seen in national and international print ads and commercials and continues to perform in musical theater in the area. She most recently played Ulla in The Producers at Woodlawn Theatre and Janet Van de Graaff in The Drowsy Chaperone at The Playhouse San Antonio. Berry is a founding company member of San Antonio Jazz Ensemble, a former Miss San Antonio Teen USA and has a BA in Communications with a focus in Public Relations from The University of Texas San Antonio.

ANDREA GONZALEZ- COMPANY MANAGER
Andrea is currently a teacher with Northside Independent School District where she teaches 1st grade. She is starting her 6th year of teaching and is also the Campus Mentor Advisor for first year teachers on her campus. She is currently pursing her Masters degree in Early Reading Literacy at UTSA.
Andrea has been the Company Manager of Trilogy’s youth company Insight Dance Ensemble for the past five years. Andrea has two daughters that are members Insight Dance Ensemble. Her oldest daughter has been dancing in the company for 10 years and her youngest for 3 years. Andrea has loved being a part of the dance world for the past 10 years with her daughters growing up at the studio.
In her free time she enjoys spending time with her family and relaxing at home watching sports.
LILY HOUTKIN- ASSISTANT ARTISTIC DIRECTOR
KELLIE HODGES – CREATIVE AND OUTREACH DIRECTOR
Kellie Hodges began her dance training with Ronda McClure at the Turning Point Dance Center in San Antonio, TX. She then moved on to Point Park University where she earned her B.A. in dance. While there she performed works by Ron de Jesus, Doug Varone, Kiesha Lalama, Ron Tassone, and Douglas Bentz. After graduation she relocated to Chicago, IL to dance with Thodos Dance Chicago. In her short time with Thodos she had the pleasure of performing works by Ann Reinking, Lar Lubovitch, Melissa Thodos, and Zac Whittenburg. Kellie’s choreography ‘Hopelandic’ has been part of the Thodos company repertoire since 2008, touring through nine cities in Alaska. Her work has also been performed at Jacob’s Pillow, the Busan International Dance Festival in S Korea, Chicago National Association of Dance Masters, and Point Park University. She was recognized as a top three finalist in the International Choreography Competition hosted by the Jazz Dance World Congress in 2012. Kellie Hodges and Dancers presented work at APAP in New York City in 2013 & 2014. Kellie taught jazz at Point Park University in the Conservatory of Performing Arts from 2009-2014 where she taught dance and theatre majors. Her students have gone on to work with Giordano Dance Chicago, River North Dance Chicago, Hubbard Street 2, Stiletto Entertainment, Parsons Dance Company, Royal Caribbean Cruise Lines, various Broadway Theatre Productions in NYC, as well as summer stock regional theatre companies around the nation. In 2013 Kellie performed in the broadway workshop of ” The Bench: Journey Into Love ” as a principle dancer under director Kiesha Lalama who created, choreographed, and directed the production. She performed with Ballet Idaho and Tobin Del Coure in the workshop production presented in Boise, ID. Kellie also worked administratively in Artistic Recruitment as the Recruitment Coordinator during the 2014-2015 school year at Point Park University. As Recruitment Coordinator she worked with the Dance, Theatre and Film departments in the Conservatory of Performing Arts under the mentorship of Joseph McGoldrick.
STEPHANIE HALL – CHOREOGRAPHER
(Alumni—TCU Ballet & Modern Dance) has been involved in the arts from her early years. She graduated with a BFA in Ballet from Texas Christian University, and went on to dance in several ballet and contemporary dance companies. She was a founding dancer/choreographer for Xclaim!, a contemporary jazz company based in Columbus, Ohio, and has been on staff with multiple dance academies. Stephanie is also a fully certified Power Pilates instructor and is a PMA Certified Instructor. She teaches extensively both nationally and internationally, and is a lead dancer/choreographer for the Tabernacle Dance Company for the annual Feast of Tabernacles in Jersualem, Israel.
ABBY JO LUQUETTE – CHOREOGRAPHER
Abby Jo Luquette is currently under the representation of Go2Talent agency as a working dancer trained in Ballet, Jazz, Modern, Contemporary, Hip Hop and Jazz Funk. Abby Jo was born and raised in Houston, TX where she trained with the Houston Metropolitan Dance Company. She also trained with Kingwood Youth Ballet and was accepted into the Pre-Professional Houston Metropolitan Dance Company where she trained under Marlana Walsh-Doyle and Kiki Lucas. Abby Jo went on to receive a scholarship to earn a Bachelor of Arts degree from Point Park University studying from some of the best such as Kellie Hodges, Kiesha Lalama, Ron Tassone, Susan Stowe, Garfield Lemonius, Douglas Bentz and Judith Leifer-Bentz. She performed works by Kellie Hodges, Ron Tassone and Bill T. Jones.
After graduating Abby Jo went on to intern with Broadway Dance Center and EdgePAC in Los Angeles under the direction of Bill Prudich. She has traveled the world dancing on Holland America Cruise Line with Stilletto Entertainment. Abby Jo teaches and choreographs for studios all over the U.S. She also has Judged for the Miss Dance/Drill Team USA competitions. She has had the opportunity to tour with artist, Julie Marie Darbouze, assist Master Teacher/Choreographer Alex Little and was featured on ESPN with Pittsburgh Steelers Runningback Rashard Mendenhall. Abby Jo was featured as a Dancer/Actress in a pilot for Shane Sparks “The Real Dancers of North Hollywood.” Recently, she has gotten the opportunity to be in the Dance Ensemble for the hit musical “Oklahoma!.” Currently, Abby Jo is a founding member of “Hodge Podge Dance Movement” under the direction of Kellie Hodges in San Antonio, TX.
COURTNIE MERCER – CHOREOGRAPHER
Courtnie Mercer was born in San Antonio but raised in the small Texas town of Abilene. Abilene is where Ms. Mercer fell in love with the art of dance. Ms. Mercer began her dance training at the age of two and teaching dance at the age of nine. She fell in love all with aspects of dance from ballet to hip hop. Ms. Mercer moved to San Antonio in 2003 and attended the University of Texas at San Antonio. Ms. Mercer received a Bachelors of Science in Kinesiology and a minor in Health. During her college years, Ms. Mercer served as two time Captain of the dance team at U.T.S.A. and was an active member of Alpha Omicron Pi fraternity, Inc. Upon graduation, Ms. Mercer started working with the nations top choreographers and was a two year assistant to hip hop legend Shane Sparks. Ms. Mercer also trained with Mia Michaels, Wade Robson, Laurieann Gibson, Tyce Diorio, Tabitha and Napoleon D’Umo, and many more. She served as a member of the San Antonio Spurs Team Energy Dance Team and the San Antonio Stars Star Squad. Ms. Mercer has choreographed for high schools and dance conventions all over Texas and danced in such events as: Florida Citrus Bowl, Super Bowl XXXVIII, and Fiesta San Antonio’s Webb Party. Ms. Mercer was featured in the music video for Eli Young Band’s “Always the Love Songs.” She recently choreographed The Rocky Horror Show at the Woodlawn Theatre as well as Wizard of Oz at The Playhouse. Ms. Mercer has been seen in several shows around San Antonio and her favorites include: In The Heights, The Rocky Horror Show, Guys & Dolls, and Tommy. She is teaching a variety of hip hop classes and will be the Trilogy Faculty member teaching for The Playhouse Conservatory program this year.
