Ronda is the Artistic Director of Trilogy Dance Center.

She began her dance training in San Antonio and went on to pursue a dance degree at the University of Texas in Austin. There she danced with Third Coast Jazz Company and choreographed for numerous dance companies. She has studied dance in California and New York with the best teachers in the industry.  Returning to San Antonio, Ronda was the first artist of her kind to implement an outreach dance program to inner city schools. In 1994 she created Visions Dance Troupe, a semi-professional youth company, which received national choreography awards and inspired dancers to pursue dance degrees or professional careers in the dance arena. In 1995 she opened The Turning Point Dance Center. After 12 years of success in training dancers in ballet, jazz, modern, and tap she moved on to create Move & Groove Innovative Dance Program. Ms. Runnels founded Trilogy’s pre-professional dance company, Insight Dance Ensemble and is the Artistic Director of San Antonio Jazz Ensemble, the river cities only non-profit professional jazz dance company. Over the last 18 years Ronda has produced and choreographed original works that have received numerous awards in the field of jazz and contemporary dance. Her unique blend of jazz and modern makes her style of choreography powerful and intriguing on both young dancers and professional artists.

Her track record for training dancers is the best around. Dedicated dancers under Ronda’s curriculum have gone on to the best dance schools in the nation or on to be professionals in the entertainment industry. Her past students have been seen on national and international commercials, television shows, touring concerts, theme parks, cruise ships or have become instructors at top notch schools and universities across the nation.

Ronda is the program director at Trilogy Dance Center where she directs the youth dance company Insight Dance Ensemble, and is the artistic director of San Antonio Jazz Ensemble (SAJE). She currently is co-choreographer and an advocate for the End Fat Talk Campaign flash mob events.
